ULTRA-PURE SOURCE*
Our fish oils are
sourced primarily from anchovies, herring and sardines from deep waters
off the coast of Norway, Chile, Peru and southern Africa. Our suppliers
work together with local authorities to promote sustainability of
fisheries and to minimize bycatch of other species. The oils are
purified in a gentle, multi-step molecular distillation process that
removes heavy metals, PCBs and dioxins/furans. They are stabilized with
natural antioxidants including vitamin E, vitamin C and rosemary
extract.
RIGOROUS QUALITY CONTROL
Our Quality Control Program is designed to prove the purity, potency and freshness of our fish oils with these 5 critical assurances:
Each lot is tested. Certified independent
laboratories test every batch of finished, encapsulated product.
Environmental toxins are assayed. Dioxins,
furans and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are tested to the parts per
trillion. We test for 17 dioxans and furans and 14 PCBs. Heavy metals
are tested to the parts per billion.
Oxidation levels are measured. Established
markers of oxidation and rancidity include peroxides, anisidines, TOTOX
value and acid value.
Microbiological counts are performed. Tests
for total aerobic bacteria, e.coli, staphylococcus, salmonella,
coliforms, yeast and mold ensure against microbial contamination.
Content claims are verified. Each product has
been verified to contain the content of EPA, DHA and any other
ingredients claimed on the label.
