Vitamin D
The Changes:
- Increasing the amount of vitamin D from 400 i.u. to 800 i.u. per serving in our existing Nutient 950® series, UltraNutrient®, Polyphenol Nutrients and Multi t/d
- Increasing the amount of vitamin D in Nutrient 280 from 120 to 240 i.u.
- Adding 1,000 i.u. vitamin D in our NEW Nutrient 950® with Vitamin K
The Rationale:
- New research indicates that vitamin D insufficiency may be prevalent, particularly for the elderly, people with limited sunlight exposure (or dedicated sunscreen use), individuals with dark skin, adolescents and young adults
- Recent studies emphasize the benefits of vitamin D for bone health and beyond, including prostate, breast, colon and emotional health*
